At last! A spot for self-disclosure!
I’m a LOT of things.
Primarily, I am a husband and father. In recent years, those roles have been compounded by responding to God’s internal and external sense of calling to become a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
Penultimately, I am a continual work-in-progress.
Since the inception of this blog (THREE years ago?!), and subsequently this bio, I have shifted from congregational/parish work to serving as a Chaplain. I still have the opportunity to lead worship and preach from time to time, which I enjoy quite a bit.
Ultimately, I am a beloved, baptized child of God, hoping and holding onto the promises of God of forgiveness and eternal life.
This blog/page has become a periodic creative outlet for casting my questions, observations, opinions, etc. into the wind that is the Internet, to be unremarkably swept away with all the other fleeting things of the day.
Those questions, observations and opinions are solely mine, and may not reflect the insights, experiences or positions of anyone else including the congregation, the synod or denomination in which I serve. I’m okay with that if you are. I assume if you are not, you either won’t read, or I will be hearing from one of the bishops.
I try not to be too big a jerk, but that doesn’t always happen.
Thanks for your patience and participation along the way!
